The word miracle is thrown around a lot at Christmas time. There’s the miracle of Jesus’ birth, of course, but also a bunch of books and movies sport the word in their titles. The obvious one is “Miracle on 34th Street”, but there are literally dozens of movies in the “Hallmark Christmas” genre that use the word. Google “miracle Christmas” and you’ll see what I mean!
Christmas is a magical time, a miraculous time. We look forward to such things as families being reconciled… a Christmas miracle! One of our favorite Christmas miracles is when a service member is able to surprise his/her family on Christmas by coming home. For me, just sitting in the living room with the room lights off and only the Christmas tree lights on, listening to old favorite Christmas music while sipping a hot beverage is a kind of miracle.
Your church needs a “Christmas Miracle” of sorts. Our financial status has taken a hit this year, and we are in need of your generous gift this Christmas. We always want to finish the year with all of our bills paid and our ministries fully funded. But right now, we are running a significant budget deficit. The Christmas Offering we receive every year goes toward catching up and closing the year on a good, strong financial footing.
Would you consider an especially generous gift this Christmas to The Fount? With everything going on concerning our affiliation with our denomination and the challenges of doing ministry week-in and week-out, we need an influx of generosity!
One idea I like is giving the church a gift that is equal to the most expensive Christmas gift I give to another. Some can do more, some can only do less, but if we all pitch in, we can experience our own “Christmas Miracle” this year, and end the year “in the black”!
So, how ‘bout it, Fount Family? Will you join me and Cyndy in giving an especially generous gift to The Fount this Christmas?
Be sure to mark your gift “Christmas” either on your check, envelope or click the Christmas fund in your online gift. All gifts posted by December 31st will be credited to our 2023 budget.
On behalf of the entire church and preschool staff, may your Christmas and New Year’s celebrations be safe, holy and fun!
In Christ,
