For some time, now, I’ve been thinking about a ministry that I became aware of that ministers to single, pregnant moms both during their pregnancy and afterward. This ministry is called “Embrace Grace.”

It provides a Christian support group for those single women going through pregnancy, providing a caring community, resources to help, connections to help make their pregnancy more of a positive experience. Being alone and trying to keep a baby can be a daunting task; that’s why some women choose to terminate their pregnancy (abortion)! Since we are a church that is Pro-Life, this kind of ministry that puts our efforts where our hearts are makes sense.

It would be primarily made up of women willing to come along side pregnant single moms. It is ideal for older women who have some experience to share with their younger friends. There is a whole training process, with guidance on how to form and maintain this ministry. It is a nation-wide movement, but the closest church to us offering this ministry is in Anaheim.

I will be looking for people who have a heart for this and are willing to participate and lead this ministry at The Fount.
