Taking Steps to Protect Our Most Vulnerable Members

Out of an abundance of loving concern for our more vulnerable members and friends, the Church Council has decided to ask all worshippers whether vaccinated or not to wear a mask and keep social distance from those not in their household, until further notice. With the increase of infections recently, this decision seemed prudent. It is made not in reaction to directives from the outside, but on our deep caring for one another.

So beginning this Sunday, August 22nd, please wear a mask when indoors at the church.

The worship leadership, if they are sufficiently separated from the congregation, will not be required to wear masks while leading. But everyone should put on a mask when amongst others while indoors.

Should our service move outside again, masks will not be required at this time. And, of course, our online streaming service is still available for those who cannot or choose not to worship in-person. We encourage those who are severely vulnerable to remain at home and worship with us online. And, of course, if you experience COVID-like symptoms, please stay home and/or seek medical treatment.

This decision will be revisited each month at the Church Council meetings, or more frequently if the situation changes drastically.
