“Something Old” that I’m rediscovering this week is the book, “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis. I am just a few letters in, but I’m blown away at how relevant the book still is (and not just a little bit convicted). It is a reminder that “There is nothing new under the sun” Ecclesiastes 1:9 and though we may be living in what we believe to be “unprecedented times,” human nature remains the same and our God is not surprised or dismayed. I find this a comforting reminder that though we may still have tribulation, The battle is already won John 16:33.
“Something New” this week is one of the hymns we will be singing on Sunday. It is not in the hymnal, but you can preview it now if you would like to familiarize your self with it before Sunday. Just click here: “O Church Arise.”
