Come Back to Church: September 6th!

We are excited! The Church Council just voted to offer in-person worship beginning Sunday, September 6th! The service will be outside, in the gazebo area (see picture above). It will be offered at 9:00 AM and will be a shortened version (about 45 minutes), but will include hymns and sermon. We will also offer communion!

But there are some very important things to keep in mind.

We want you to bring your own lawn (or similar) chairs to sit on, an umbrella or pop-up, and face masks. There will be a limited number of chairs available, and some masks, but bringing your own will help ensure that no one else has touched it. There will be some shade available, too, but bring your own to be sure you have some. At 9:00 it will be cooler than 10:30, but the sun will still be bright! You will need to check in at the table in front of the office as you come on to campus, to receive instructions. Households (living together) may sit together, but there must be a distance of at least 6 feet between persons of separate households. Singing (with masks on) will be permitted. Communion will be served (no gluten-free) by using the self-contained communion elements (wafer and juice together).

Unfortunately, there will be no coffee or donuts available. And we ask everyone to please observe the protocols we’ve established to keep each other safe. If you don’t feel well, PLEASE STAY HOME!

The usual 10:30 online service on Facebook Live will still be offered each week, and the after worship Fellowship Time will be offered on Zoom. But we are excited to offer this in-person option for those who are willing and able to come to campus. For more information, call the church office (714-962-2593).
