I would like to invite you to join me at 7:30 AM every morning for a time of Morning Prayer. This will be different than the Morning Devotions I already host at 9:00 AM.
Morning Prayer will be held on Zoom so that participants can respond to the prayer prompts and litanies. Morning Prayer will be more liturgical, more formalized. We will use a prayer pattern that is similar to monastic communities, but deeply Wesleyan at its roots. As you know, the Wesleyan/Methodist movement sprang out of the Church of England (Anglican) tradition, which has a wonderful liturgical tradition in its Book of Common Prayer. John and Charles Wesley knew and used the Book of Common prayer every day. Our Morning Prayer time will use a similar tool on MethodistPrayer.org.
If you are interested in joining me for this spiritual journey, send me an email. I’ll send you the Zoom credentials so that you can join the meeting. We will start on Saturday, April 25th, at 7:30 AM (PDT). Of courses, you can join any time, and as often as you like. But I’ll be there each morning for anyone who wants this added discipline in their life.
So send me an email at pastorglen@thefount.church if you would like to join me, starting this Saturday, April 25th.
Blessings,
Pastor Glen Haworth
