When Thanksgiving comes around we should pause to consider the things for which we are thankful. It only stands to reason!

Among the obvious things (family, friends, work, a roof over our heads, etc.) we should consider how thankful we are for our church. The Fount is a wonderful family of faith, committed to living the Christian faith and proclaiming the Gospel. Our mission is to “Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.” That is what we do, it is what we are about. But The Fount is also a loving congregation of caring people who “watch over one another in love” (John Wesley) and “encourage one another and build up each other” (1 Thessalonians 5:11), and I’m grateful for that. Aren’t you?

We want to express our gratitude to God for our church, and so Cyndy and I will be giving a special gift at Thanksgiving. It is a tangible way, above and beyond our tithe, to show how thankful we are to be part of this wonderful church.
