It’s Ramadan. Pray for Muslim Neighbors

For Muslims, the month of Ramadan is a holy time to seek God and do good deeds for others. This year, Ramadan runs from May 6th through June 4th. Faithful Muslims will fast during daylight hours and pray. This is a good time to connect with your Muslim neighbors and offer Christian love and hospitality.

It is also a time when Christians need to pray for their brothers and sisters living in Muslim majority countries. The Fount sponsors several missions in predominantly Muslim countries. Sometimes, Muslim extremists use the month of Ramadan to intimidate and even attack Christians living in their midst. We need to pray for protection and God’s favor.

One of the symbols for Ramadan is a lamp. If you see colorful lamps hanging on neighbors’ homes, use that as a conversation starter to show Christian hospitality and love. And share the love of God you have found in Jesus Christ!

“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and humankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.” (1 Timothy 2:3-6)
