Glen’s mission is: “To faithfully serve God by being an excellent pastor, preacher, spiritual guide and administrator.”
Pastor Glen completed his 35th year in active full-time ministry as of June 30, 2017. He received his BA, Religious Studies from San Diego State and his Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary.
While at San Diego State Glen served as an “on-air personality” at two different radio stations, KSON FM and KOWN AM & FM. At KOWN he used the on-air names of Brian O’Neal and Glen Howard. He started out as a weekend DJ, ending up as a program director and afternoon drive DJ.
In 1980 he became a student assistant, pastoring youth and performing assistant pastoral care of the congregation at Mill Creek Parish United Methodist (UM) Church. He then became an Associate Pastor at First UM Church in Santa Ana in 1982; in 1984 he became the Pastor at First UM Church in Van Nuys; in 1989, Pastor of Tujunga UM Church; in 2005 Pastor of Chino UM Church; and in 2014 the Lead Pastor here at The Fount.
Glen became an Ordained Deacon in the Pacific & Southwest Conference of the UM Church in 1981 and an Ordained Elder in 1984.
He’s on the Advisory Board of the Aldersgate Renewal Ministries and is also the convener of the newly forming Cal-Pac Chapter of the Wesleyan Covenant Association.
