What’s Your Vision

If our mission is to “Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World”,  how would you envision going about that?  And what will our church look like when it is accomplishing its mission?

These are questions I want to encourage every member of The Fount to prayerfully consider.  Take these questions to your prayer closet and lift them up to the Lord daily.  As we begin our “Vision 2020” campaign, I need every member of the church family to be consistently in prayer about our future and what God would have us do and become.

As I said last month, every Christian should be in ministry.  That means that we all need to examine our gifts and abilities and seek God’s guidance as to how He would have us use those gifts and abilities in the work of the Kingdom.  Are you gifted in teaching?  How are you using that gift for the Kingdom?  Are you gifted in helping?  Whom are you helping for the Kingdom?  Is your gift that when you pray for people they are healed?  How are you using that gift?  Does your heart break for the poor?  In what ways are you serving the poor?  Every single one of us must be engaged in a ministry that aligns with our mission to “Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.”

And when we are all doing ministry, what will our church look like?  That’s the vision I want you to pray for.  And as that vision becomes clearer to you, write it down and send it to me (PastorGlen@TheFount.Church).  I want to start collecting what God is showing us so that we can see where God is leading us!

Blessings,

Pastor Glen
