Back in October I had the opportunity to go to Chicago with a few members of our church for the Wesleyan Covenant Association (WCA) conference. First, let me just say I was super nervous—first plane ride for Olivia (she was only 6 months old) and I wasn’t sure at all how she would do (she did great by the way). Once that was out of the way I had a great time. The conference was enlightening and the worship was awesome. I didn’t know much about the WCA going into this, but learning about it and getting to understand it, was what the conference really was for me. Sticking to our Christian principle and what we stand for is important. I’m happy and reassured about the direction that the denomination is going. I enjoyed the speakers and the atmosphere, even though not very many young families were there. We did find the one family with a little boy just Olivia’s age and were able to talk and share with them. I also enjoyed our group and the pizza! All and all I had a good experience and I’m thankful I went.
