We’ve been talking about “re-digging the wells” of Gospel Swamp, and we’ve been “Preparing for Revival”, and we’ve invited and welcomed “The Master’s Storyteller” to our church. It has all been in an effort to reclaim what God has planted in our area and to rekindle the flames of revival.
We cannot manufacture revival! We can only prepare ourselves for what God is going to do next in us, through us, and around us. A wise prayer warrior once counseled me to pray, “God,
prepare me for what You are preparing me for!” I think that is a good prayer for all of us.
In the words of John Wesley, “How goes it with your soul?” Wesley Putnam challenged us to think in new ways and to consider what God may be up to. I felt something change in our church that week. How about you?
The Church Council has voted to change our working name as a church (see article elsewhere). I sense a new Wind blowing in our sails. How about you?
We had a massive wedding at our church recently (thanks, Ted and Katrina!) and there are two new babies about to be born into our church family. I am anticipating a New Day. How about you? I believe with all my heart that God is about to do some amazing things in us. We can choose to continue to do “church as usual” or we can be open to where God is leading us and open to whom God is sending us. As for me and my house… I think you know the rest!
I am okay with whatever God wants to do. How about you?
Peace,
Pastor Glen
