When looking for churches in our local community with a ministry for youth with autism, we only found programs for young children. At age 13, youth with autism are turned away.\u00a0 Radiate Possibility Autism Youth Program was created to fill the gap by serving\u00a0ages\u00a013 years old to adult.\u00a0 We recruit and train volunteers to create a safe place for “older” youth with autism to fellowship with each other\u00a0and with caring mentors.<\/p>\n
Our intention is to host Autism Community Events where those with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder),\u00a0aged\u00a013 years and older will feel welcome so they can\u00a0enjoy a day created just for them.\u00a0Our first event will by an Autism Youth\u00a0Prom Night on July 30th.
\nGod\u2019s heart includes everyone in the body of Christ,\u00a0and we\u00a0all deserve a chance to shine and \u201cRadiate Possibility\u201d,\u00a0but it\u00a0takes people who are willing to invest their time\u00a0and to believe in them.\u00a0\u00a0We\u00a0at The Fount see the need to meet the social and spiritual\u00a0needs of youth with ASD and we are excited to be a part of making that happen.<\/p>\n
