I don’t know about you, but as things seem to be getting back to “normal” I’m not feeling any more settled than I did a few months ago. There seem to be just as many unsettling things going on now as there were last year. Honestly, I’m just plain fatigued from dealing with what seems like unending disturbances, good and bad, big and small and I’ve sensed that many people are feeling the same.<\/p>\n
Some of my challenges\/changes include:<\/strong><\/em> Please<\/em>, don’t think I’m complaining. I know this is a season, but\u00a0I’m being\u00a0transparent because I know\u00a0I’m not the only one feeling this way and to confess that what I’m doing in regard to my spiritual life is not working for me right now. Yes, I’m in The Word, and yes, I’m in prayer, but something needs to change. I’m feeling led to enter into a period of prayer and fasting. \n~Saying “goodbye” to our beloved 15 year old\u00a0dog Teddy\u00a0(3 other people I know lost dogs last week as well).
\n~Finding out about two very sudden weddings that will happen within the month (good but surprising).
\n~Getting into a car accident (everyone is okay) and waiting to find out if we will be car shopping.
\n~Gas shortages on the east coast due to hacking for ransom.
\n~The seemingly unending debates over face masks and vaccines.
\n~Bombing between Hamaas and Israel.
\n~Continued political polarization.
\n~Discrimination against Korean Pastors and churches in our denomination.
\n~Preparing to be out of the office for a few days and making sure everything that needs to be done is covered (good in the end, but stressful to prep for).
\n~Helping to interview for our new preschool director (great now that we have a fantastic person in place).
\n~A friend is moving out of state (good for her, but hard as well).<\/p>\n
