{"id":3169,"date":"2017-09-05T08:25:49","date_gmt":"2017-09-05T15:25:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefount.church\/church\/?p=3169"},"modified":"2017-08-28T09:50:30","modified_gmt":"2017-08-28T16:50:30","slug":"falling-for-jesus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefount.church\/church\/2017\/09\/05\/falling-for-jesus\/","title":{"rendered":"Falling for Jesus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The summer is just about over, school is about to start again, and vacations are concluding (except for Cyndy\u2019s and my 40<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary cruise to Alaska!).\u00a0 It is time to get back to the business of saving souls!<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, I jest.\u00a0 It is ALWAYS the time for the business of saving souls.\u00a0 It\u2019s just that we sometimes get involved in other things, or take a break from church, during the summer.\u00a0 But we should never take a break from our Christian vocation!<\/p>\n<p>This fall, The Fount has many wonderful opportunities planned for you and your family to get involved and participate.\u00a0 What a wonderful privilege it is to worship the Lord and serve Him through The Fount!\u00a0 Soon, our campus will be brimming with the sounds and smiles of preschool children and their teachers.\u00a0 Soon, the Bible 101 class will begin meeting, resurrecting a tradition for our church that reckons back to the \u201cAcademy\u201d days.\u00a0 Soon, Messy Church will be back and we will be soul-deep in activities and teachings from the Bible.<\/p>\n<p>I have been studying hard on the topic of Worship, and I\u2019ll be giving some sermons on the topic this fall.\u00a0 We are working on plans for a Thanksgiving Eve service of worship, involving the various<br \/>\ncongregations meeting on our campus.\u00a0 And plans are being made to present a Christmas Pageant, involving children and adults from the several congregations sharing our campus.\u00a0 Vision 2020 is forging on, working on a new sign, repainting the preschool and a lot more!<\/p>\n<p>I invite you to plan on coming \u201cBack to Church\u201d (even if you haven\u2019t been away) this season and join us as we Fall for Jesus once again!<\/p>\n<p>Agape (Christian love),<\/p>\n<p>Pastor Glen<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The summer is just about over, school is about to start again, and vacations are concluding (except for Cyndy\u2019s and my 40th Anniversary cruise to Alaska!).\u00a0 It is time to get back to the business of saving souls!
