We\u2019ve been talking about \u201cre-digging the wells\u201d of Gospel Swamp, and we\u2019ve been \u201cPreparing for Revival\u201d, and we\u2019ve invited and welcomed \u201cThe Master\u2019s Storyteller\u201d to our church.\u00a0 It has all been in an effort to reclaim what God has planted in our area and to rekindle the flames of revival.<\/p>\n
We cannot manufacture revival!\u00a0 We can only prepare ourselves for what God is going to do next in us, through us, and around us.\u00a0 A wise prayer warrior once counseled me to pray, \u201cGod,
\nprepare me for what You are preparing me for!\u201d\u00a0 I think that is a good prayer for all of us.<\/p>\n
In the words of John Wesley, \u201cHow goes it with your soul?\u201d \u00a0Wesley Putnam challenged us to think in new ways and to consider what God may be up to.\u00a0 I felt something change in our church that week.\u00a0 How about you?<\/p>\n
The Church Council has voted to change our working name as a church (see article elsewhere).\u00a0 I sense a new Wind blowing in our sails.\u00a0 How about you?<\/p>\n
We had a massive wedding at our church recently (thanks, Ted and Katrina!) and there are two new babies about to be born into our church family.\u00a0 I am anticipating a New Day.\u00a0 How about you?\u00a0 I believe with all my heart that God is about to do some amazing things in us.\u00a0 We can choose to continue to do \u201cchurch as usual\u201d or we can be open to where God is leading us and open to whom God is sending us.\u00a0 As for me and my house\u2026 I think you know the rest!<\/p>\n
I am okay with whatever God wants to do.\u00a0 How about you?<\/p>\n
