The month of March will afford all of us a wealth of opportunities to invite friends, neighbors, former members, co-workers, family members and perfect strangers to consider a life of Christian discipleship.\u00a0 The
\nopportunities are around us all the time, of course, but with Easter this month and with evangelist Wesley Putnam coming for four nights, we have a lot of potential invitations!<\/p>\n
We have talked a lot about mentoring and discipling people into faith and into a deeper walk of faith.\u00a0 But sometimes there needs to be an initial event that starts them on the road to discipleship.\u00a0 This month has many such events. Consider:<\/p>\n
The Master\u2019s Storyteller, March 20-23, 6pm for Children and 7pm for
\neveryone each night<\/p>\n
Good Friday, March 25th<\/sup> at 7pm<\/p>\n Easter Sunday, March 27th<\/sup> at 10:30 AM<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A simple invitation to one or more of these events at your church could be the start of something amazing in someone\u2019s life!<\/p>\n Here are a couple sample invitations.\u00a0 Feel free to use them:<\/p>\n Hey, _______, we\u2019re having a special program at my church on ________. Would you like to come? Here is what NOT <\/b>to say:<\/p>\n Hey, _____, we\u2019re having some whatchamacallit at my church. You wouldn\u2019t want to come, would you?<\/p>\n Obviously, I\u2019m making fun, but you get the idea. We all talk about\u00a0 making the church grow.
