When Thanksgiving comes around we should pause to consider the things for which we are thankful. It only stands to reason!
Among the obvious things (family, friends, work, a roof over our heads, etc.) we should consider how thankful we are for our church. The Fount is a wonderful family of faith, committed to living the Christian faith and proclaiming the Gospel. Our mission is to “Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.” That is what we do, it is what we are about. But The Fount is also a loving congregation of caring people who “watch over one another in love” (John Wesley) and “encourage one another and build up each other” (1 Thessalonians 5:11), and I’m grateful for that. Aren’t you?
We want to express our gratitude to God for our church, and so Cyndy and I will be giving a special gift at Thanksgiving. It is a tangible way, above and beyond our tithe, to show how thankful we are to be part of this wonderful church.
Will you join us?
All contributions are tax deductible, of course, and will go toward helping underwrite the ministries and mission of The Fount. Go online and designate your gift “Thanksgiving”, or bring or send your special gift with the same designation. Your faithfulness will give glory to God!
On behalf of the entire staff (church and preschool), Happy Thanksgiving to you all! And may the Lord bless and encourage you in this season of gratitude.
